In pairs, share barriers you may have encountered in your own learning journey or that of someone you know well.

Quickly debrief, answering the following questions.  
  • What did it feel like when relating barriers you faced in your own learning journey or that of someone you know?  
  • What did it feel like when you heard about someone else’s challenges that were encountered?  
  • What barriers did you both share? Do you think these are common? If so, why?  

What barriers to learning do your students encounter?

  • With your team,  create a visual to show the barriers to learning your students encounter. 
  • Be prepared to share with the group.
